Landour

A cantonment above Mussoorie where nothing much happens, slowly

A tiny colonial-era cantonment on the ridge above Mussoorie, reached by a steep climb past deodar forest. Four tea shacks at Char Dukan, a bakery, two churches and a road that loops the hill — Landour is somewhere to walk and read rather than sightsee, and is best known as Ruskin Bond's home.
